My Summer in Pictures

What can I say? I have not been the best blogger lately. Life has been busy, as usual--work, school, grad assistantship, travel, etc. I think the best way to relaunch my blogging life is through photos.

I did a lot this summer. Goodness, I miss it. Here's a little chronicling of my life over the past few months. Enjoy and expect a more in depth blog soon!

I played outside, blew bubbles & caught fireflies with my sweet niece.

I went to Starkville and saw two of my best friends, Kayla & Lauren.

I picked out a super comfy cocoabeens chair.

Saw NKOTBSB with my sister (who got to meet Danny Wood).

Played tourist in my city with Aunt Barbara.

Saw gorgeous mountains, East High & an impressive fireworks display in Utah/Wyoming with my bff.

Celebrated a sweet girl's second birthday party with Woody, Jessie & Buzz.

Saw my best friend, Amanda, get married to a wonderful guy.

Clearly, I am one blessed girl with the best family, friends and bosses! God is great!

Tonight, I went to dinner with some of my old and new friends. After our meal came, one of them said, "Who's going to say the blessing?" My cousin, Samuel, volunteered. We then held hands as he blessed our fabulous Mugshots meal.

The reverence and grace that I felt during those few minutes were incredible. Here we were in the middle of one of Starkville's most popular restaurants thanking God for providing for us and blessing our lives. How amazing is that feeling?

In my life, I've received so much all because God provides. For 22 years, He's taken me down the right path and kept me safe and secure. My paramount goal and focus right now is to continue to trust, obey, listen, believe, and praise in my, no our, amazing God.

Quality Roommate Time Day

Today was designated as "Quality Roommate Time Day." This semester has been extremely busy for the both of us, so it feels like we only see each other in Intro to Philosophy and other sporadic times. I've known Amanda since Kindergarten and we have experienced so much together, from trips to college. In the 18 years I've known her, I don't believe we've ever argued or had major disagreements. Needless to say, I'm amazingly blessed to have a fantastic friend like her in my life.

Both of our birthdays are in February (we were born 5 days apart). Today was Amanda's and mine doesn't exist this year! Both of us deserved a relaxing day of our favorite things: clothes, shoes, scarves, jewelry and food. No stress. No worries. No hurries. We enjoyed spending time together and realizing how blessed we are to have one another.



I hope everyone has a friend like Amanda. I, and everyone else in her life, would absolutely have no idea what to do without her. She's an amazing person inside and out. In my opinion, she's the most credible and talented 22-year-old ever. I love you Manda and thanks for being my friend/roomie/cook/Starkville Mom/comforter/etc. I love you like I love judging the American Idols (You know that's a lot)!
