So here's what I've been up to lately:
Olivia's 1st Unbirthday
My lady bug turned one on July 9 and she had a very merry unbirthday this weekend. So many friends and family celebrated with us and we are so blessed to have each of them in our lives. We painted (colored) the roses red (blue, pink, orange), tossed rings on a blow-up flamingo (fail) and tossed balls into teapots for prizes. We also played the original Disney Alice in Wonderland movie throughout the duration of the party.
I so enjoyed planning this special day. In a previous post I discussed my do-it-yourself party planning, but I only shared photos of the pom poms. So, here's the other things I did myself.
Drink Me Juice Bottles
Party Favors
Tissue Paper Pom Poms
The Invitation

My sister, dad & I also made "This Way," "That Way," "Up," and "Down" signs for the yard. However, I forgot to snap a photo of them. Here's the details: We used acrylic paint, chalkboard spray paint, a wood template and curling ribbon. I'll post a photo soon!
I loved working on each of these projects. Thank goodness for blogs, coworkers and Adobe Creative Suite 4 for being amazing. Without them, I wouldn't have had the initial ideas.
Olivia also had a Mad Hatter Cake, eat me cookies and a homemade TuTu by my sister's best friend. I know she won't remember her 1st Unbirthday, but she'll have plenty of pictures and I'll tell her how much it meant to me to plan her special day.

(Thanks Shannon)
Next year, though, I think we'll just have a cookout (sans decorations) and buy her a super cute outfit. After all, in about 3 more years she'll want themed parties and I'll be planning them again (except this time they will be in skating rinks, bowling alleys and Chuck E. Cheese).
But, should anyone need any help planning anything let me know!
Simply,
Court
