Down in Mississippi

After a brief (nah, long) absence from Project 365, I am pleased to announce that I am sharing my photos again.

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel to Natchez, Mississippi, for the annual PRAM conference. I've always wanted to go to Natchez, partly because I hear my sister discuss it when she reads Greg Iles. We were only there for two days, but I quickly learned how historic and interesting this Mississippi town is.

Dr. Forde, my advisor at Mississippi State, took it upon himself to be our tour guide. If he needed a hobby, aside from PR and electronic media, he could pursue this career. We walked around the historic district and took a nighttime tour of Natchez (complete with ghost stories from Kayla Bradley). It was a memory, I'll never forget.

We weren't able to tour any Antebellum homes, but I plan on marking this off my list very soon.

I tend to forget that Mississippi has so much history and so many stories. This short trip has given me another item to add to the bucket list: Travel the state and see the history that's in my own backyard.
