One for One

"With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One." (Tomsshoes.com)

Tonight, Delta Gamma hosted at lectureship series with the founder of Toms Shoes, Blake Mycoskie. If you have never heard of Toms Shoes before, please visit http://www.tomsshoes.com/content.asp?tid=227 to view an inspirational YouTube video that will speak to your soul.

I first heard about Toms Shoes from a childhood friend in 2007. She told me the story, the One for One story. I was moved. How awesome is it that $44 dollars for one pair of shoes goes so far? The answer: more than awesome. It tugs on heartstrings. According to Blake, children in 21 countries receive shoes(some their first pair) because we buy some cute shoes.

Blake's passion for his company was visibly clear tonight. He wants to make a difference, and he's doing it. I believe that should be a top goal in every individual's life plan.

This is easily achievable! Simply buy Toms Shoes. They are super cute and comfy! And, that small purchase can make a large difference in a child's life.

P.S. I've got three pictures tonight! Talk about overachievement!

Simply,

Court
